Bringing Home the Baby

Today we brought home our brand new baby boy. We're not positive on the name yet, but I think it will be Tyler. He was born January 16th at 7:53 am. He weighed 6 lbs 13 oz. and was 19 inches long. Both me and the baby are doing well. We barely made it home when it was time for the rest of the family to go to Church. Of course the kids were very anxious to see and hold the new baby, so we did spend a little bit of time letting them each hold him for just a minute or so before they left for church.

Of course I think this plan worked out perfectly, and I've very much enjoyed the last few hours alone with the baby. I only have a few minutes left before the family is all home again, and life with baby number 7 really begins. Hopefully we'll survive. Thankfully Tyler seems very sweet and mellow. I don't believe I've ever had a baby that was quite so mellow. It must be a blessing. The Lord always knows what we can handle! Wish us luck!

He is just adorable! I can't believe how much your family had grown up -- where does the time go?

I'm the oldest of 7 and I think it is a wonderful thing to have a big family. My mom is one of my heroes - I think that means that you are a new addition to my hero list. I know the Lord is pleased and will bless your efforts. Congratulations!
