It's been a rough few years, but things are getting better. Several years ago, I wanted to write a piano song that reflected some of the challenges I was going through, but also gave me hope that things would be better in the future.
The song that resulted, was this song, "Overcoming". It is by far, one of my favorite songs to play and listen to. I play it all the time, especially when I'm feeling particularly sad, lonely, or depressed. It gives me hope and I'm reminded that things are getting easier as I keep hope in my heart and trust that God still has a plan for me.
Getting through my divorce has been one of the most challenging things I've ever gone through, but with peace in my heart, I've been able to take one step at a time - confident that things will get better (they have to, right??!) and that God still has a plan for me. Some days are harder than others, but I'm doing okay and grateful for the music that God has given me to help me through those difficult emotions.
I hope this song will be helpful to you as well. It's okay to feel sad and to feel those hard emotions. Sometimes you just have to feel them in order to move on, and that's okay. Feel them, experience them, and then keep moving forward. It gets easier in time.
Enjoy the music!
