I find it funny that my last update for the site was dated way back in November of LAST year! I would have never guessed it would be so long. What’s funny about that, is that I have changed the layout of my site (with the intent to update) atleast 3 or 4 times in that period… but haven’t ever felt “done” enough to update my e-mail list. In that time, I’ve finished a sheet music book, learned PHP, moved to a new house, raised a baby, experienced wonderful trials and musical experiences, composed a few songs, including my fun “Cakewalk” song, did some music arrangements for some friends, but never had time to sit down and make those changes to the site that in my mind would justify an update to my e-mail list.
This week, I think I will do it! I’m excited. I’m hoping that by having a blog on my site, I can share the little things that I add to the site, or things about my life, musical experiences, or inspirations that might not justify an e-mail update, but might be interesting to some none the less.
I’m in a wonderful season of my life right now, and I’m trying to enjoy it to the fullest that I can. I’m excited to share some of the joys that I’ve had along the way… with you!
This is my Season
I have a lovely family two boys and four girls like me yes, it’s called responsiblity But you wont find me complainin’ Although it can sure feel drainin’ When I’m tryin’ to find some time to just be me!
This is my season And I’m takin’ care of lives Takin’ time for burpin’ babies and to be a lovin’ wife This is my season And I’m doin’ the best I can I’m lovin’ my family You can bet I am!
Sometimes when a kid is cryin’ or poops his pants and smells horrifyin’ I’m not sure how long of it I can stand But I know that they’re growin’ fast And I know that yes, this too shall pass And so I’m givin’ everything I can!
This is my season And I’m takin’ care of lives Takin’ time to do their laundry And make sure it smells alright This is my season And I’m doin’ the best I can I’m lovin’ my family You can bet I am!
Maybe in a year or three I’ll fin’lly write my symphony or take the time to tour in Tennessee! Cause seasons come and seasons go But I want all my kids to know That their the most important thing to me!
